Supercassis & Crèmes de Cassis

Since 1923, VEDRENNE has selected the finest fruit varieties to make its crèmes. For its Supercassis, VEDRENNE mainly uses the famous Noir de Bourgogne variety, the most aromatic blackcurrant in the world. Supercassis is a premium blackcurrant liqueur with an intense taste and fruity notes. It can be enjoyed neat or used in cocktails to add a touch of freshness and sweetness.

The Supercassis production process begins with the careful selection of the fruit. Only the finest blackcurrants are harvested at optimum ripeness, ensuring maximum concentration of aromas. The berries are then pressed to extract all their natural juice, which is used as the base for the liqueur.

Once the juice has been obtained, VEDRENNE adds a touch of sugar and alcohol, along with carefully selected spices and herbs. The mixture is then distilled in traditional stills to bring out all its flavors. After this step, Supercassis is left to age for several months in French oak barrels, giving it a velvety texture and woody notes. The result is an exceptional blackcurrant liqueur, perfect to enjoy on its own or use as an ingredient in a variety of drinks.
