History
Founded in 1848 in Jarnac, Maison Paulet is one of the oldest Cognac houses. Building on a tradition of Charente expertise passed down since the 18th century, it has, over the years, won over numerous chefs, artists, politicians, and prestigious brands (Lalique, Carven, Fauchon, Harrods, and others).
Production
Paulet cognacs are made exclusively from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, renowned for producing the finest, most subtle eaux-de-vie, which are ideally suited for aging.
Paulet cognacs are produced using a highly refined process:
- DOUBLE DISTILLATION: traditional distillation in Charente-style copper stills, carried out on the lees to impart richness, roundness, and aromatic complexity.
- BARREL AGING: For our VS and VSOP Cognacs, aging in wood lasts at least 2 to 4 years. It begins in new barrels, where the structure is developed, before finishing in used barrels, where the eau-de-vie refines and gains elegance.
Paulet Cognacs: A Tradition of Craftsmanship Since 1848
Paulet’s “Rendez-vous” (VS) and “Noble Voyage” (VSOP) cognacs embody two expressions of the same art: the art of transforming every tasting into a moment frozen in time. “Rendez-vous” celebrates the emotion of a memorable, vibrant, and captivating encounter, while “Noble Voyage” invites you to escape and explore, revealing the beauty and richness of the Charente region. Together, they tell a story of sharing, elegance, and inspiration.
