Inspired by the garden where it grows verbena*, Distillerie Pagès has created this verbena liqueur LES JARDINS DE PAGÈS, made with organically grown ingredients.
Once harvested, the verbena leaves are immediately dried and then steeped to make this liqueur.
*Plot in the process of conversion to organic farming. During this conversion period, verbena grown by a French farmer certified for organic farming was used for this product.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 30°
This recipe is made using a verbena infusion to preserve all its aromatic qualities and its smoothness on the palate.
A slight sediment may be present or the color may change, without affecting product quality.
TASTING NOTES
Aroma: Enjoy all the smoothness of freshly harvested verbena.
Palate: Gentle citrus and herbal notes.
AN ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE APPROACH
We make a point of selecting our ingredients in France, from the verbena to the bottle, and working with suppliers based near our distillery to limit transportation. Whenever possible, we work with family businesses and French Living Heritage Companies (EPV).
ORGANIC VERBENA
Distillerie Pagès is currently undergoing certification by the CERTIPACK Bio organization, in accordance with European Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 for growing verbena using organic farming methods.
FRENCH ORGANIC ALCOHOL
It comes from a wine-growing cooperative that produces organic wine.
During winemaking, the grape residues from pressing and crushing are kept to produce grape marc and lees.
The extra-fine alcohol is obtained through successive distillation and rectification of grape marc and wine lees.
THE CLOSURE
The company that makes the closures uses a closed-loop system to recycle injection-molded plastics internally. It is currently working to certify bio-based or compostable materials for plastic injection molding in order to reduce its environmental impact.
THE LABELS
Our labels are printed on paper that is 100% recycled, using inks made with approximately 80% plant-based oil.
